MASINTÍN CARINENA

Truquilemu is one of the coolest areas in the Maule Valley, hidden by surrounding hills. It's cultivated by only a few small viticultores and one of them is Waldo Orellana, who still dry farms his 70+ year old bush vines by hand and horse. This Carignan was fermented with native yeasts and aged in concrete tanks, cocciopesto amphoras and old French oak barrels.

MASINTÍN CINSAULT

This Cinsault comes from the bush vines planted by Cristian Lagos in 2002. Their ungrafted roots have made their way through the granitic soils of Los Castaños in the Itata valley. Grapes were harvested by hand and fermented with native yeasts only. The wine was aged in concrete tanks, cocciopesto amphoras and old French oak barrels.

MASINTÍN PAÍS

This País comes from a small vineyard in Truquilemu, in the coastal cordillera of the Maule Valley. Ungrafted vines were planted back in 1950 on an east facing granite slope. They are gobelet trained and non-irrigated. Grapes were hand-harvested and whole-berry fermented. The wine is aged in clay amphora and old French oak barrels.

MASINTÍN GARNACHA

This Garnacha comes from a small parcel that sits on granitic terraces carved out by the Perquilauquen river and is located in Caliboro, the heart of the Maule Valley. More than ten years ago, the dry-farmed and gobelet-trained vines were grafted on top of original País rootstocks that date back to 1890. Grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in open vats. The wine is aged in concrete tanks, as well as new and old French oak barrels.

MASINTÍN BLANCO DE ITATA

This blend is our tribute to the deep-rooted white varieties of the Itata valley. Centuries ago, Moscatel and Semillon were at the cradle of this valley’s viticul- ture tradition, and showcase the unique characteristics of Itata. Our fruit comes from ungrafted bush vines, planted on granitic soils. The vineyards are cultivated by the unparalleled Lucia Torres and Carlos Figueroa and grapes are carefully selected, harvested by hand and directly pressed upon arrival.

MASINTÍN TINTO DE ITATA

Tinto de Itata is our respectful interpretation of what Itata has been delivering for centuries. País and Cinsault grapes have been at the heart of the local production for reasons that today unfold in every parcel we vinify. Some of these gobelet-trained parcels were planted on their own rootstocks back in the XIX century and up until today they are still managed with the same respect by the heirs of Itata’s first viticultores.
